The Adopted Child

چکیده
Mrs. Ellison, from a wide experience of social work, writes about the history of the background of adoption and of the emotional problems involved. She describes the social difficulties, especially the housing shortage, which to-day makes it hard for many to achieve the conditions of family life. Her stories from casehistories, however, make the issues appear too simple and advocate adoption as a sovereign remedy. There is a useful biography.
